Journalist Cris Dias has returned to using social media to collect her son’s pension payment from her ex-husband, actor Thiago Rodrigues, in the last week. The measure she adopted also served other personalities, such as the actress Luana Piovani, who is currently arguing in court with the surfer Pedro Scooby, and the digital influencer Amanda Campello.
The latter had repercussions on Instagram profiles, including last week, when she reported that the money transferred by her ex, the youtuber Sharkão, did not cover the basic expenses of the child. The two started a quarrel on social networks, with prints and versions about spending resources.
For lawyer Camila Rufato Duarte, this exhibition has two perspectives. On the one hand, it can empower women. “This is important for society to remove this veil of romanticism about fatherhood, that often fathers, in fact, have no responsibility, they overwhelm mothers, they don’t even have the decency to play their role with that child,” assesses the lawyer , specialist in women’s rights and creator and manager of the Direito Dela page (@direito.dela).
On the other hand, Camila believes there are risks, yes, to actions brought by women. These are cases where the parent takes the opportunity to claim parental alienation or where the mother intends to destroy her public image.
Consequently, the lawyer Ticiana Didres, a specialist in women’s law and family law, is even more incisive on these presentations. For her it is an attitude that “doesn’t help at all, on the contrary, it can cause irreparable damage”. “Exposing it on the internet will never be the solution, I understand that many women do it to ‘let off steam’ and also to drop the mask of a good father, but this is not the best way and can really harm the progress of the cases”, she condemns she.
violence against women
In the case of women like Cris Dias, who already have a legal settlement, the subsequent delays in paying alimony can be interpreted as yet another form of violence. This is what Camila Rufato Duarte underlines, who highlights decisions that aim to limit the right of these women to talk about their pain as violence. Luana Piovani, for example, says she has a “gag” in her mouth after unmasking Scooby on the internet.
“In my view, it’s completely illegal because you’re silencing women. It’s a way to operationalize women’s silence in another way, in this case, through the judiciary,” she criticizes.
While emphasizing the legality of these measures, Ticiana also condemns the bans, which he classifies as “procedural violence”. This typification refers to the use of the law to persecute and delegitimize women in the judicial process in question.
