Spanish actress Penélope Cruz (the first representative of Spain in this role), Roger Federer, Dua Lipa and Michaela Coel will host together with the organizer of the event, the iconic fashion editor Anna Wintour. The first looks of celebrities focused on light tones, but there was no shortage of black and white productions. Watch.
Dua Lipa
Singer Dua Lipa wore a 1986 Chanel gown, modeled by Claudia Schiffer. The powerful necklace is from Tiffany, with a diamond of over 200 carats.
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian wore a look made entirely of pearls, honoring the memory of the French designer, who Karl Lagerfeld replaced at the Maison 12 years after the designer’s death. Kim’s dress has 50,000 pearls and took 1,000 hours to make.
Jennifer Lopez
Always in black and white, the actress Jennifer Lopez focused on a look created by Ralph Lauren, inspired by the creations of Karl Lagerfeld.
Annita
Anitta composed the look with a black sculptural dress and white gloves, signed by Marc Jacobs.
Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s sister, opted for a black body and long sleeves by Marc Jacobs.
Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz is also wearing a vintage Chanel dress, complete with a sheer hood. The look is from the spring 1988 haute couture collection.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman wore the same dress used in the Chanel No. 5, in which she starred in 2004. Her head is light pink with feathers and a huge train. That’s four yards of fabric. The commercial also stars Rodrigo Santoro.
Gisele Bundchen
Even our Gisele Bündchen chose total white for the 2007 catwalk, with tulle, stripes and a wonderful duvet cover.
Joda cat
Singer Joda Cat dressed in honor of the cat Choupette, heir to Kar Lagerfeld, with a make-up reminiscent of the feline.
Anna Wintur
Even the boss of the event Anna Wintour wears vintage Chanel, with a traditional suit of the brand led by Karl Lagerfeld since 1983.
Irina Shayk
Model Irina Shayk also opted for a long, flowing white as she walked up the steps to the Metropolitan Museum. The jewels worn by the model are by the Brazilian Ana Khouri. The Russian model wore a powerful necklace composed of three chains filled with 40 carats of white diamonds and five pendant diamond stones (three of 11 carats and two of 3.5); one headphones to match the necklace and an amethyst minaudière with a Constantino white diamond clasp.
Karlie Kloss
Pregnant model Karlie Kloss has bet on a reinterpretation of the Chanel style from the 80s, already with Karl Lagerfeld.
Olivia Wilde
Actress Olivia Wilde was another who opted for a white look, in another vintage Chanel dress, from 1983, when Lagerfeld took over the house. The dress is called The Violin, after the silhouette of the instrument on the front.
