Gluten-free almond brownie

ingredients

2 tablespoons of softened butter;

½ cup sugar;

1 egg;

¼ cup unsweetened almond milk;

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract;

1 cup of almond flour;

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder;

⅛ teaspoon of salt;

1 teaspoon baking powder;

¼ cup chopped whole natural almonds;

¼ cup dark chocolate chips;

Almonds to taste to decorate.

Method of preparation

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Mix in the egg. Mix the almond milk and vanilla.

In another bowl mix the almond flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture and beat until blended. Add the ground almonds and chocolate chips.

Coat an 8×8 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Decorate with more ground almonds or toasted flaked almonds.
