Physical activity improves energy and mood, while reducing stress and pain
When our body feels tired, pain, unwell and stressed, it’s a sign that we need to take care of it. Physical activity is essential to increase energy, disposition, concentration and good mood; something that, as a result, brings significant improvements to professional life. With that in mind, teacher Josi Araújo, of Pure Pilates, the largest Pilates network in Latin America, recommends five exercises to improve focus and boost performance at work. Watch!

1. Exercise for posterior chain stretching and spinal mobility
Sitting, spine erect, legs straight, and arms extended in front of you, do movement bring the arms forward and back mobilizing the spine. Make the movement synchronized with your breathing. Perform 8 to 10 repetitions.
2. Swan – exercise for mobility and strengthening of the spine
Lie on your stomach and place your hands under your shoulders. He raises his head and lifts his torso upwards extending his arms, executing the Force on the triceps. Perform the movement for 8-10 repetitions.
3. Roll Up – exercise to mobilize the spine, strengthen the abdomen and stretch the posterior chain
Lie on your back and put your arms straight above your head and keeping your legs straight, curl them column slowly, with the arms following the line of the ear, bringing them forward towards the feet. She rolls out slowly keeping her shoulders relaxed.
4. Double Leg Stretch – abdominal strengthening exercise
Lying on your back with shoulders and shoulder blades lifted off the ground, knees bent at 90 degrees and arms straight with hands at knee height, bring your arms over your head and legs forward, straightening them, without move the trunk.
5. Double Straight Leg Stretch – rectus abdominis, iliopsoas, rectus femoris and posterior chain stretch exercise
Lie on your back with shoulders and shoulder blades off the ground, hands behind your head, hips at 90 degrees, and knees extended. He stretches his legs and then returns to the starting position.
