Indiana Jones 5: a new spectacular clip before the presentation of the film in Cannes

A few days before the first public screening of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fortune at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, Disney releases a new clip from the film, focused on action and humor!

In these new images, Indy is joined by two new characters, Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and Teddy (Ethan Isidore). The trio give chase, and in the midst of the action, the adventurer-archaeologist has time to reprimand Helen for the life she has chosen, a remark for which the young woman rejects him!

It looks like Professor Henry Jones (Harrison Ford) will have to step it up a notch to follow this new character of Helena, his goddaughter, who is giving him a clue in this Dial of Destiny.

It is played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the heroine and creator of the Fleabag series, who has already starred in several franchises, such as Solo: A Star Wars Story, where she voiced the droid, but also the dying can be expected that we once asked to rewrite specifically to bring more of humor.

For this new installment in the saga, Steven Spielberg has replaced James Mangold, who recently directed Hugh Jackman’s latest Wolverine film in Logan, Le Mans 66 alongside Christian Bale and Matt Damon. The synopsis of Indy 5 has been kept under wraps for now and the film is reported to have a running time of 2h34.

A large part of the cast is expected to attend the Cannes Film Festival and pay tribute to Harrison Ford. Can we imagine that the film’s executive producers, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, were also there for this international event?

Anyway, the movie opens on Thursday, May 18th on the Croisette and for the rest of the public, in theaters on Wednesday, June 28th.
