And how to choose the right bench? Based on his experience and guided by the choices made in his projects, the architect Aie Tombolato, outlines its main suggestions and recommendations. Follow:

Bench materials

With a wide range of materials available on the market, the architect says he shares some lines of thought with his clients. If the predilection is driven by more streaky or pigmented appearanceYou natural materials are the most recommended.

However, for supporters of a smoother or homogenous appearancethe way is to leave for the industrialized parts. Get to know some of these commodities:

Marble

In this bathroom, the proposal by the architect Aiê Tombolato had to surprise for the refinement reflected in the dark marble that forms the support surface with the sculpted sink, as well as covering the floor and walls. To complete the proposal, the sanitary sink with attached box in black.

Natural stone composed of limestone, marble has different shades and textures, as well as being the most commonly adopted for its extraordinary beauty – resulting from the unique and marked colors and veins. However, the architect Aiê Tombolato underlines it fragility due to the porosity of the material of natural origin.

“In specifications, I usually bring marble in a more decorative orientation in sinks and countertops, as its noble feel is impressive, which transforms the piece into real sculptures in bathroom and toilet designs,” he says.

Porcelain stoneware

A great trend for the execution of worktops, porcelain stoneware continues to conquer its space. Due to the diversity of formats and the expansion of the range of finishes, which simulate, for events, marbles found all over the world, the industrialized product earns points in projects when one thinks of cost-benefit ratio.

It’s a material resistant, with a low level of water absorption and more cost-effective than natural stones. Also, porcelain tiles look great ally against humidityavoiding unwanted infiltrations of stains and moulds.

Wood

With its more decorative character, the bathroom countertops can acquire the attribute of boldness when made of wood. Since there is no steam – which happens in bathrooms due to the shower – in this situation the wood is preserved, since contact with water will be minimal. Thus the architect Aiê Tombolato proceeded with this project with a natural atmosphere, with the all-wood panel that acts as a bench to accommodate the support basin. A background closes this connection.

the stands of wood they are always welcome in the bathrooms when the idea is to bring the uniqueness and warmth of nature into the home. In the bathroom, the architect has exploited the rustic look of the log to enhance the beauty of what is unique in the universe.

Quartz

The mixture of quartz and wood was the architect Aiê Tombolato's favorite for the constitution of this bathroom.

One of the most abundant materials on Earth, quartz It is composed essentially of acrylic and some minerals, as well as being known for its superior resistance to other natural stones, such as marble. The only one Careful that must be taken is with the installation of it in high temperature environments.

“I recommend quartz for all types of countertops, as it is a more refined piece that results in the elegance that some synthetic materials fail to express so well,” concludes the architect.
