Healthy sweet rice recipe
ingredients
- ¾ cups arborio rice
- 500ml almond milk or your favorite
- 500ml of coconut milk
- Peel of ½ orange (without the white part)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 5 carnations
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 to 5 tablespoons natural sweetener of your choice (sweet to taste)
Way of doing
Put the butter in the pan with the spices (cloves and cinnamon). Heat up a bit and add the washed and drained (very dry) rice.
After mixing for three minutes, add the almond milk or milk of your choice.
Set aside ½ cup of the coconut milk and put the rest into the pan. Then add the orange zest, lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Cover the pan for another 5 minutes and turn off the heat. Peel off the orange peels for storage.
