Professionals explain this trend and talk about the importance of maintaining healthy hair
Rainbow or “rainbow hair” is a technique in which hair is dyed in various colors. “Not necessarily in the order of the rainbow or with all colors. Generally, a hair with three or more colors is already considered as such», explains the hair stylist Alex Sudati.

This look is usually adopted by people with a lot of personality. “It represents the fact that I can do what I want, even if there are many judgments, I have to be faithful to my will, without being afraid of what others will think,” analyzes Maíra Medeiros, digital content creator. However, to adhere to this style, the hair must be healthy.
thread care
Without this story that before the rainbow comes the storm. To adopt this style, you must have strong hair and be aware that it will need a lot of care after the procedure. “The ideal is to have hair as healthy as possible, doing treatments such as hydration and reconstruction, so that after bleaching the hair still remains healthy,” explains Alex Sudati.
Maíra Medeiros says this kind of assistance is part of her routine. “I live around treatments, one week is rebuilding, another is nutrition, another hydration”, explains the content creator, who also alternates periods with straight and curly hair.
Variations of multi-colored hair
According to hair stylist Alex Sudati, there are several possibilities to create a “rainbow hair”, such as ombré, balayage and global bleaching. Additionally, you can also lighten specific areas, such as the back of the neck, to make the colors a little more subtle.
Again according to the professional, there are variations of multicolored hair (which are not necessarily a rainbow hair):
- Hidden Rainbow Hair: it’s a hidden rainbow, done from the center of the head down or just at the back of the neck, and when the hair moves, you see the colors;
- Galactic Hair: with purple, pink, blue and turquoise tones, imitating galaxies;
- opal hair: it is multicolored hair, only in pastel tones, imitating the Opal stone;
- flame hair: with shades of red, orange and yellow, imitating a flame.
Have you chosen your rainbow yet?
to mount the your rainbow, you can choose the colors you like best, there is no pattern. But if you’re running out of ideas or looking for colors that last longer, hair stylist Alex Sudati has some suggestions. “Usually, pink and purple/purple tones last longer. Blue eventually fades into green, in this case the green needs time to emerge, whether it’s due to the blue fading or if the initial color it’s really green. A great and long-lasting combination is purple and turquoise,” she says.
Despite treatment, if you really want to go out of the ordinary, it’s worth betting on rainbow hair. “Why use just one color when the world has so many?” instigates Maíra Medeiros. The important thing is to be happy and, if you are in a world full of colours, it’s more beautiful, isn’t it?!
