On the night of last Wednesday, May 31st, Francisco Gilfirst and only son of the singer Black Gil, spoke to the media and talked about his mother’s health. Since January 2023, Preta Gil has been battling bowel cancer.

At the Municipal Theater in Rio de Janeiro, as the 30th edition of the Brazilian Music Award was taking place, Francisco Gil told the TV Globo news portal, the GShowthat his mother, Preta Gil, is having a good time in cancer care.
“She’s fine, in a more peaceful phase of the treatment. Everything will be fine. We are confident and she is surrounded by love”confirmed Francisco Gil.
Also on GShow, Francisco explained his opinion on the event. “This award is very important, because it is an opportunity to bring recognition, to highlight our scene. Our music, perhaps, is our greatest jewel. To get back the Brazilian Music Award, which takes place at the Theatro Municipal , it’s a gift”he said.
