Vanessa escapes during transport
Interrogated by the Auror and Karim in Bart’s presence, Matilda admits that she decided to take action three months ago when she learned of Vanessa’s trial date. He claims that no one knew about his plan and that he bought the gun from a bar owner in his village with money from odd jobs. He then took a boat to Italy and then a train to Sete, knowing he wouldn’t get past airport security with a gun.
Bart meanwhile explains that he didn’t see Matilda shoot Vanessa. He just saw her running and tried to catch up, to no avail. He then asks the teenager why he did such a thing. An upset Matilda replies that she cannot cope with her mother’s death, she thinks about her every day. But he assures Bart that he would never let him pay for it. Before leaving, Bart asks Karim and Auror to humble the young girl. According to him, he has already experienced enough.
As he breaks free, Bart finds Adele, who rushes into his arms. He explains to her that if he didn’t defend himself, it was to protect Matilde.
Hearing that Vanessa will be discharged from the hospital today, Soizic felt a wave of anxiety. He tries to convince Aaron that his patient needs longer postoperative follow-up, but to no avail. Aaron has no reason to keep Vanessa Lehman any longer. Knowing that the murderer’s trial will soon resume, Soizic rushes to call François to tell him the bad news. Soizic still doesn’t want to talk about the threats he’s received from the police, and Adam wants to take cover during the trial.
Fearing for his son, Soizic leaves him to wait at the end of high school. Paranoid, he jumps at the slightest noise and suspects all passers-by, which does not surprise Adam, who does not understand his mother’s behavior.
It was time to go to Vanessa at the hospital. He is accompanied by a prison guard who seems to want to be discreet and keeps his head down as he walks with the prisoner. Vanessa thanks Aaron for everything and apologizes to Victoire.
After leaving, his transfer to prison does not go as planned and quickly turns tragic. While Vanessa pretends to sleep, the prison guard, who is driving the van and therefore an accomplice to the killer, asks his colleague if everything is going well in the back of the car. Taking advantage of the other guard’s inattention, Vanessa handcuffs herself, grabs the syringe she had hidden, gets up, and stabs the jailer in the neck, which disintegrates. Then he grabs a gun.
At the police station, Sebastien informs Auror that Matilda should enjoy some leniency from the prosecutor’s office, despite her premeditation. But their conversation is interrupted by a call informing the Auror that the prison van that will transport Vanessa has not arrived at the prison.
Aurora and Karim follow the van, but it’s too late. Vanesa and the driver disappeared.
Judith is worried about Vince
Judith, Jordan, and Diego are walking on the beach when they see Vince, which doesn’t bother Jordan, who can’t stand it. Meeting Diego, the life coach has the feeling that Diego is looking for something he knows nothing about. He urges the teenager not to give up. Jordan is clearly angry with Vince, but Judith and Diego are amazed that he was so right. Does the coach know about the amnesia of the young man?
A little later, while eating ice cream, Diego has a flash: he remembers coming to the same place with his parents as a child. Can he recover his memory? Either way, it definitely ties into what Vince told him a little while ago.
After a meditation session, Judith finds Vince on the beach and explains to him that Diego has amnesia and that he just found a childhood memory. The coach admits that he is very intuitive and feels what prevents people from moving forward. But he worries that it does not affect his own person. Looking Judith straight in the eye, he confides in her that he doesn’t know if he has a chance with the girl he just met and who he likes. Judith is alarmed by this statement and leaves.
She then confides in Noor about this conversation. Judith admits that she felt flattered, but insists that nothing will happen between them because she loves Jordan very much.
Alex discovers Sylvain’s lie
Despite the false jump he made the day before, Alex goes to Sylvain to continue the repair work on his sailboat, but Sylvain claims to have been sick all night. She explains to her friend that she has a smear and Tristan has the same symptoms as her. She thinks she ate a bad fish and confides in Alex that she doesn’t feel like she can follow him on the boat.
Later, while he is jogging along the beach, Etienne sees Sylvain and Trista in the middle of a fishing trip. He immediately calls Alex, who can’t believe his friend lied to him like that. Etienne, he’s not that surprised. Sylvain changes his passion every week.
After three hours of fishing with their feet in the water, two imaginary patients are short on sea bream. Sylvain thinks he is paying the price for betrayal. Tristan then realizes that his friend has cheated on Alex once again, which drives him crazy. She urges him to tell her the truth when Alex arrives at the beach by surprise.
Sylvain apologizes to him and explains that he wanted to enjoy life after working for 19 years. Alex understands perfectly, but does not admit that he took them, Etienne and him, as idiots and put them to work in his place. But, as always, Alex can’t last long with his best friend and ends up joining Sylvain and Tristan for a fishing trip.
