Lifting heavy loads isn’t always the best way to achieve healthy muscle hypertrophy
It is enough to mention working out in the gym to imagine a muscular person on a device with high loads. Therefore, this stereotypical view makes most think that light training should be discarded at any time. Here comes this question: does it make sense to train hard with little weight?
After all, is it possible to train hard with little weight?
“Yes! Because each person will have some degree of strength! Or, can we train more heavily with less weight? We can too! As long as I change other variables in my training,” guaranteed personal trainer Leandro Twin.

“I will bench press 100kg but do one rep at high speed or I will bench press 90kg but it will be 10 reps very slowly. Have you noticed the difference? Therefore, for hypertrophy, we should do more or less between five and 15 repetitions, with a controlled cadence of about one second in the concentric – positive phase of the exercise, two or three seconds in the eccentric phase, negative phase of the exercise”, highlighted the professional.
