What to expect from the new season of the super popular series “Good Omens”: its premiere is coming soon

The eminent fantasy novelist Sir Terence John David Pratchett died on March 12, 2015. The total circulation of his author’s books worldwide amounted to over 80 million copies and, of course, many of them. them – and with more or less success – were filmed.

A six-episode show based on Pratchett’s book Good Omens, co-authored by Neil Gaiman, was completed in 2019.

At first it was planned to shoot a feature film, the great visionary Terry Gilliam himself worked on it. But he couldn’t cope with the material, and the film rights were transferred to Amazon Originals. They hired Gaiman as one of the showrunners, with David Tennant and Michael Sheen in lead roles. The success was overwhelming – it seems everyone watched the show. Viewers and critics unanimously insisted that it was this series that perfectly conveyed Pratchett’s unique wit and humor.

In 2022, it was unexpectedly announced that the show had been renewed. An entirely new story will be told that uses the unrealized ideas of Gaiman and Pratchett. The premiere date for Season 2 of Good Intentions has already been announced – July 28, 2023.

Harry Potter star and Oscar nominee Miranda Richardson will play Shax, the demon who replaced Crowley in Hell after being cast out. We suspect that the jokes with this woman are bad!

As with the new Beelzebub (although, apparently, it will be called differently). The leader of the forces of Hell will embody Shelley Connknown from the series “The Bridgertons”.

It is more or less obvious that the main events will develop in Soho, in the bookstore and its surroundings. It seems that the angel and the demon are now sharing the living space – the store space seems to be split into two parts.

In interviews and social media posts, Neil Gaiman repeatedly mentioned a certain “cardboard box”, and it can also be seen on one of the posters. It is worth suggesting that the box will become one of the driving forces behind the plot – perhaps something important will be there, delivered to the bookstore or discovered there.

The poster shows three feathers coming out of the box – two white and one black. Apparently, another angel from heaven will become an important player in the plot.
