Healthy menu for Valentine’s Day
We went straight to the menu for that special day, always thinking of the healthiest ingredients for you and your love to enjoy the date together. And also, maintain good eating habits, of course!
All the recipes in this healthy menu for Valentine’s Day are very easy to prepare. Enjoy!
Valentine’s breakfast
On Valentine’s Day, try making brunch. In other words, a sort of special, “extended” breakfast to be enjoyed in the company of your love between the first meal of the day and lunch.
It can be served in bed or on the table, as you prefer. You can decorate with special flowers. You have:
- special breads: For those who love bread, it is worth having a small variety of, for example, baguettes, wholemeal bread or bread.
- Special fruit salad: make a juice with two oranges and mix it with chopped papaya, apple and banana. Finally, a carambola and a pinch of cinnamon add a special touch.
- Omelette: Beat two eggs, the mushrooms cut into thin slices and season with a pinch of black pepper and salt. Then, when you bring it to the pan, add two slices of shredded white cheese. Serve it hot.
Valentine’s Day lunch or dinner
Start with a hot song or soundtrack to your love story. It fits any style, as long as it doesn’t disturb your romantic moment. Prepare dishes together and have fun.
Caprese salad
- 1 firm persimmon tomato
- 2 buffalo mozzarella
- Basil
- Oil
- salt
Slice the mozzarella and tomato. Assemble the salad on a nice plate, layer the tomato and mozzarella, sprinkle salt and olive oil on the slices. Finally, garnish with a sprig of basil.
steak with mustard
Purchase two fillets of your choice (filet mignon, rump, sirloin, etc.). With that, season with Dijon mustard (in grains) and salt, about two hours before preparing the meats.
Next, heat a pan and add a drizzle of oil and the meat. Finally, leave it in the spot of your choice.
Palm risotto
Brown half a finely chopped onion with the olive oil and mix a cup of rice (already washed) to make it brown.
Next, add a cup of dry white wine. Take the opportunity to make a toast with what’s left. Then, wait for the alcohol to evaporate and add another cup of water. Adjust the amount of salt desired and lower the heat to cook the rice.
Finally, chop up a glass of hearts of palm, but leave one whole for decoration. When the rice is ready, add the chopped heart of palm and two tablespoons of cream.
Arrange like this on a nice serving dish, sprinkle with grated cheese and decorate with a sprig of parsley and the leftover heart of palm.
Desserts on Valentine’s healthy menu
Yes, it is possible to have a dessert in the healthy menu. After all, balance is part of good eating habits.
You can accompany this moment with a good sparkling wine. But, for those who don’t like alcoholic beverages, sparkling water and a slice of fruit can bring sophistication.
So, on to the recipe:
Strawberries covered in chocolate
Put some strawberries (which are aphrodisiac foods) already washed in pretty bowls.
Next, melt 70% (or more) of the chocolate. Finally, mix a pack of milk cream (you can use what’s left over from the risotto). The dessert is like a ganache, delicious!
Make the most of it and go out a lot to expend the calories.
