The 104th edition of Pitti Uomo, one of the most traditional Italian fashion events, kicked off this Tuesday (13th) in Florence and promises highlights and great discoveries, with new designers and young brands, until next June 16th.
The event in the Fortezza da Basso will see the participation of 825 brands, 43% of which are international, and will present the collections for spring-summer 2024. According to Italian newspapers, around 2,000 guests are expected, including stars George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio, who will participate in this edition.
The venue will be divided into five sections: Fantastic Classic, Futuro Maschile, Dynamic Attitude, Superstyling and I Go Out. The space will also host exhibitions of beachwear and accessories, as well as PittiPets, dedicated to pet fashion.
Among some of the most historic exhibitors are Brunello Cucinelli, Roberto Cavalli and Fendi, which is one of the special guest brands and will present its new spring/summer men’s collection.
Parallel events are also scheduled, such as the eagerly awaited collective “Runways Icons”, organized on June 14 by the Florentine brand LuisaViaRoma and British Vogue with Edward Enninful, which will present the looks of around 50 luxury brands.
“I think a wonderful moment awaits us, let’s show that when we all come together we can show the world that we are number one. We must not be afraid of anything,” said the new president of Pitti Immagine, Antonio De Matteis.
Errata: The initial text informed that, according to the Italian press, the expectation was that the singer Dua Lipa would participate in the 104th edition of Pitti Uomo. But, according to the artist’s advice, she will not be present at the fashion event in Florence. .
