This popular and healthy drink is in the house of almost every one of us. But is it good for you to keep it in your fridge?
If you’re not allergic to lactose, milk is probably in your diet in one way or another. Someone likes to drink it straight out of glasses, while others just dilute their morning coffee with it. Is there also milk in your fridge right now? Now you’ll find out why you’ve been doing it right all this time.
Recently, British farmer Keri Cryer told the Daily Mail that the refrigerator door, from which it is very convenient to remove a carton of milk, is in fact categorically not suitable for this purpose. Storing milk this way will only shorten its shelf life, Keri says.
But where to put the product so that it stays fresh and tasty for as long as possible? According to the farmer, this should be one of the deepest places in the refrigerator.
“You have to make sure the milk stays cold. It should be placed next to other cold foods. It is best stored on the main shelves at the back, in no case in the door, which is the warmest part of the refrigerator.Cryer said.
The farmer’s theory, however, has been confirmed by scientists. According to them, milk and other perishable dairy products should be kept at the back of the refrigerator, where they can retain their goodness and taste for as long as possible.
