What are the different degrees of skin burn?

He explains that the skin is the largest organ in the human body, and when it comes to burns, their severity is characterized by the degree of depth. That is, 1st degree, causing redness; 2nd degree, which generates blisters; and 3rd degree, deep burn, which can reach noble structures such as muscles and organs.

Furthermore, the extent also influences the severity of the problem. “Depending on the degree, it is necessary to use special dressings, chemical and physical debridement, such as the removal of dead tissue. In these deeper and more severe cases, skin grafts and new technologies such as artificial skin, among others, are required, “he specifies the doctor.
