Canjica recipe with dulce de leche and peanuts

Time: 1h (+2h soaking)

Performance: 8 portions

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups corn (for hominy)
  • 6 cups of water (tea)
  • 1.5 liters of milk
  • 1/2 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 cup (tea) of creamy dulce de leche
  • 1/2 cup roasted unsalted peanuts (chopped)

Method of preparation:

  1. Soak the corn in water for 2 hours. Drain and pour into a pan.
  2. Cover with water, add the cloves and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the water has evaporated.
  3. Pour warm milk, sugar, condensed milk and cook until the broth thickens and the corn softens.
  4. Immediately after, pour it onto a serving plate and add the dulce de leche by the spoonful.
  5. Use wave movements to blend.
  6. Sprinkle with the peanuts and serve at room temperature or warm.
