the elderly couple Mamedio Alves Magalhaes AND Ana Araujo Magalhaes died with a difference of just four hours this Friday (30).

The age of the couple is also impressive, Mamédio was 105 years old and Dona Ana 100 years old, as is their history, residing in Paranã, in the southern region of Tocantins.

From the sentence: ‘Until death do us part’, on their wedding day, Dona Ana and her Mamédio lived together as described by her great-granddaughter Ediana Quirino Magalhaes38 years old, who cared for the couple.

“Five days ago he was still fine and she had severe pneumonia, and there wasn’t much they could do. From that moment on, she didn’t want to eat well. We gave him the medicine, she kept it in her mouth. This is because she was hospitalized in hospital and he saw her leave”Ediana recalled.

After Dona Ana returned home on Thursday (29), it was Memédio who had to go to the hospital. The last hours of his life had to be separated, as he died in hospital and Ana at home, on the same day, with a difference of about four hours.

“Because there was nothing to do with my grandmother, we brought her to be near him. He saw her state, just blinked and opened her mouth. When was yesterday [quinta-feira] we took him to the hospital and the doctor preferred him to stay to take his meds. On Friday around 4am we got the call to take care of everything. When it was about 8 in the morning, the people who were helping me went to give her a bath and then she ‘went’ after that bath.”Ediana said.
