Winner of the 2013 Oscar for Best Costume Design. This film starring Keira Knightley and Jude Law is a bold take on Leo Tolstoy’s novel, which has been criticized for its divergence from the novel. It was the clothes of the heroes that became a reflection of the customs of the XIX century and, of course, the character of the main character. In addition to Anna Karenina’s chic dresses, one can also see the jewelry that was provided for the filming by the fashion house Chanel.

“Alien” (1979)

A cult sci-fi film from Ridley Scott ahead of its time. The action of the picture takes place in the distant future, when the spacecraft receives a signal from an unknown planet and the crew decides to find out what is happening there. Costume designer Ellen Ripley is the winner of two Academy Awards for Best Costume Design, John Mollo. Ripley’s costume was auctioned off with Star Wars items also created by Mollo, for a total of $6 million.
