Homemade whole burger
Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:
- 5 hamburger buns
- Butter for grilling
- 5 slices of cheddar cheese
- Mayonnaise, lettuce leaves and tomato slices to taste
- 1/2 cup pickled cucumber (sliced)
Hamburger
- 800 g ground flank steak
- 200 g ground duckling
- 100 g of minced bacon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- olive oil for grilling
Caramelized onion
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 3 sliced onions
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce (shoyu)
Method of preparation:
- For the onion, heat a pan over low heat with the butter until it melts and then add the onion, sautéing until wilted.
- Add the sugar and sauté for another 3 minutes
- Add the soy sauce and saute 3 more minutes or until caramelized, stirring
- Hang up and book
- Meanwhile, for the burger, mix the minced meat and bacon and salt until smooth.
- Form the burgers, squeezing them well to compact them, and set them aside
- In a skillet over medium heat, lightly toast the bread with the butter and set aside.
- Heat a frying pan with olive oil over high heat until very hot.
- Put the burger in, sprinkle with salt and pepper and let it grill for 3 minutes.
- Turn and leave for another 3 minutes.
- Place a slice of cheddar on each burger and let it melt.
- To assemble, spread some mayonnaise on one side of the buns, arrange the burger with the cheese, reserved caramelized onion, pickles, lettuce and tomato.
- Cover with another half of bread and serve immediately.
