The Kering group, which includes several luxury brands, announced this Tuesday (18th) that the CEO of Gucci, Marco Bizzarri, will only remain in office until September 23 of this year.
According to a statement, Bizzarri, who has held the position since 2015, will be replaced by current Kering chief executive Jean-François Palus during “a period of transition”.
“I want to thank Marco for his spectacular contribution to the success of Gucci and Kering and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” said François-Henri Pinault, president and chief executive officer of the French group.
During the presentation of the annual results for 2022, the French executive underlined that “Gucci is obviously our priority, because he is our greatest asset, even if he hasn’t achieved the best performances lately”.

In his new role, Jean-François Palus will be responsible for strengthening Gucci’s teams and operations. He will leave his role on the Kering board of directors and will move to Milan.
Kering has also announced other appointments: President and CEO of Yves Saint Laurent since 2013, Francesca Bellettini, has been appointed Deputy CEO of Kering, responsible for brand development.
All brand CEOs will report to her.
