It is yet another set of tips for a practitioner to achieve excellent results.
The hamstrings are also known as the hip extensions and are made up of the semitendinosus, semimembranosus and biceps femoris muscles. The hamstrings maintain the function of slowing down the movement of the leg in the swing phase of running and therefore there is a question: can you train the hamstrings efficiently?

You can train your hamstrings efficiently
“The best exercise for the hamstring is the flexor chair, as it promotes both lengthening and contraction. Unlike the hardboard and flexor, which work with more emphasis on one of two phases, being stiff in the eccentric and plank in the concentric,” said the personal trainer Fernando Dragao.
Another tip from Fernando is that it looks interesting to lean forward in the flexor chair, which further increases the back stretch, since the goal of this workout is strengthening.
“If your hamstrings are a weak point, train twice a week. Start your workout with always priority on flexor exercises and finish with hard, multi-joint exercises, like sumo and leg 80s. You don’t need to completely isolate your hamstring training. Do this in your workout and quads as well,” explained Fernando.
In addition, back training helps improve flexibility, mobility, posture and prevents injuries in the lower back. “Remembering that the hamstring is smaller and weaker than the quadriceps. Therefore, it is not appropriate to always do the same training volume,” concluded the staff.
What’s another way to step up your workout?
“Training the calves and adductors before training the hamstrings is a great way to intensify your training. After all, with fatigued hamstrings and calves, they won’t provide as much support in the hamstring workout,” concluded Fernando Dragão.
