The Indian Matchmaker is one of Netflix’s most gripping shows, despite it being about a different culture, or maybe because of it. The heroes of the program want to enter into an arranged marriage, that is, they are looking for a husband / wife who suits them – in terms of status, character, interests and, of course, appearance. Surprisingly, most of the participants live in the United States, and for many the matchmaker was almost the last attempt to find a partner, they admitted that they themselves could not cope with this task and needed from someone with an experienced eye. The matchmaker, in turn, resorts to the help of experts – astronomers, coaches and numerologists who know a lot about ideal couples. They know it, but not all of them, because after the end of the filming of the first season, all the couples broke up.

Initially, the British format, which was launched in dozens of countries, and successfully, because the subject is something international – the first dates. In each episode, several couples of different ages meet for the first time in a restaurant and spend time having an awkward conversation about this and that under the surveillance of cameras. You can use the show as a coin toss, betting on whether the characters will stay together, or rather, if they want to go on a second date. He is also very curious to hear who has what demands and expectations. In the Spanish version, there was a grandmother from Barcelona who said that she had one requirement for her partner: that his teeth be in place.

A popular Russian show in which the first three, led by Larisa Guzeeva, cross all possible personal boundaries and somehow marry and marry their heroes. Each program has a main character/heroine and three challengers. Absolutely all participants pass an interrogation with an addiction, after which any normal person will want to run away, saying that you have your own atmosphere here. Well, in pursuit of her, the classics “a man must” and “a woman must” will fly. The first presenter survived only a few months, but Larisa Guzeeva has been interviewing since 2008, and it seems that she likes it.

A great TV show with a completely crazy idea of ​​a wife swap. If you don’t know how to brighten up the evening, don’t hesitate to turn it on, because here we really change women for a week. The first three days the new wife lives by the rules established in the family and watches carefully, the next four days she makes her own rules. Then everyone looks at what has happened to them, raises their hands and leads the wives back to their places. Or they don’t come back – a couple of issues ended in a divorce. Over time, the show reached the international level – they started to invite families from other countries, but the coolest were the first seasons, when the wives traveled from village to village. The scope might not have been enough, but there was definitely more sincerity.

A cult show that embodies all the little girl dreams of a handsome prince who will come to save you from all the trouble. You can fight for it, because he is an enviable, handsome, and maybe even a millionaire groom. Only now the prince will expel half of the girls in the first round, and he will have fun with the rest until the end, there are no restrictions, the heroes can even have sex, well that doesn’t guarantee anything: there was more than one instance on the show where a bachelor slept with one girl, but ended up choosing another. Dates are arranged on a fabulous scale – yachts, helicopters, restaurants with stunning views, but in reality everything is as always: gossip, intrigue and intrigue. Yes, and bachelors very rarely marry their princesses.

The format was invented in the Netherlands, but has reached record views in Spain, where traditionally sons live with their mothers until their hair is gray, then move to their wives or stay with their own skirts with a delicious paella. Some mothers don’t care, and some are ready to take part in the show, only to get rid of an already too big baby. The bride is chosen by joint effort, and that’s the funniest part, because ideas about the ideal bride for sons and mothers almost never coincide. Moreover, the groom always has a plan B – to stay with his mother and not decide anything. Some people do just that!

A program that, unfortunately, will never appear on Russian television. To take full advantage of it, you have to “confuse” your morals a little. In this show, acquaintance begins with what usually ends – the contemplation of one’s potential naked partner. The hero has six candidates, and they stand before him completely naked, or rather, he sees only their lower bodies. At this stage, four candidates must somehow be selected. In the next turn, the hero can already see faces, not just genitals and legs, and in the end he goes with his chosen one (chosen one) to a restaurant on a date fully dressed.
