On the wall, on a sideboard and even on the door of a room, photographs capture the eye when presented in a creative way.
“To form a modern composition, explore the different supports and mix images of various themes and sizes,” teaches architect André Largura, of Studio Ambienta, in Curitiba. These beautiful arrangements and products will help you in the delightful task of displaying the scenes that move you.

º For those who prefer not to drill holes in the wall, a good idea is to place the framed portraits on a sideboard, which can be a buffet or the shelves of a bookcase. Here black and white appears in both furniture and frames. The touch of color is due to the images and decorations. Photo by Cristina Barbieri.
º The color of the pieces made has lifted the atmosphere in the studio corner. Leftover latex paint was used to paint the originally white plaster frames. In the arrangement of the elements, two groups have been created, with tones that match each other.
º In bathrooms, humidity tends to damage paper photos. In this case, the solution came in the form of a vinyl sticker, which covers the glass door. The film brings together three clicks, two of which reveal the real tiles installed on the room’s wall. The print, with non-toxic ink and in the format 0.70 x 2.38 m on Adsive.
º The rounded shapes of the glass vases create effects in the black and white images, producing an unusual look. The joining of pieces of different shapes and sizes makes the set even more interesting. Mugs, jam jars, old aquariums and items from well-known shops are worth it. Photographs by Alessandra Okazaki.
º Attached by ribbons (Casa das Embalagens), the printed souvenirs look like they are wrapped as gifts. The cavity of the plaster cladding acted as a shelter for the nails which support each batten. They are tied to the back support of the frame and also form bows, fixed with hot glue. Take care to leave about 30 cm free between the back of the sofa and the composition.
º A 66 x 80 cm frame, with an aged look, serves as a charming support for this set of shots. Attached to the back of the piece with small nails, handcrafted silver threads create four clotheslines. The mini pins organize photos with a white border, which helps smooth out the composition.
º The classic black and white combination is repeated in shots, frames and passe-partout. This formation is started from top to bottom, left to right, with a distance of 5cm between the pieces. Some of them are standard templates that allow you to easily change the image. The advice is to assemble the set on the floor in advance to test the most harmonious arrangement.
º In the project by architects André Largura and Giovana Kimak, from Studio Ambienta, the asymmetrical formation displays works of different sizes, as well as contrasting the black and white of the footsteps recorded by Dea Fylyk (Espaço Moldura Minuto) with the brightly colored scenes in the photographs by Charly Techio from Curitiba.
º It was possible to tell the complete story of the family in this family tree, based on a decorative sticker (1.25 x 1.90 m, Stixx). With tape, the portraits were arranged from bottom to top, from great-grandparents to the youngest of the lineage. Since the prints are exposed, be careful not to let dust accumulate. If they’re relics, it’s a good idea to make a copy of them first.
º On a clothesline made of 2 m of satin ribbon, wooden pegs hang the favorite photos of the 5-year-old owner of this room. To hide the nails in the corners, organza pins were applied, reused from a costume. The position of the clothesline respects the height of the child, so that he can change the images and mix them with his drawings.
º An old window is the structure of this panel. The 81 x 63 cm piece was tinted black (Coralit matt enamel, by Coral) and, instead of glass, received two sheets of foam board (cardboard-coated polystyrene) covered with fabric. In order for the result to be solid, the finish was ordered from a frame shop. Thumbtacks ensure clicks and pulls for hanging purses and necklaces.
