The 1970s house features a tiled living room and a bathroom with bidet


The architect Carol Farah, of the Farah+ studio, kept the original structure and configuration, but updated the decoration, materials and finishes

A couple sought architect Carol Farah from the office Farah+ to renovate your home 550 m2dating back to the 70s. We wanted to keep the original structure and configuration, but finishes and materials could use an update. The structure is open, has a swimming pool with deck chairs and a large lawn.

The main highlight of the project is the wall lined with plumbing tiles in the living rooma reference to 70s aesthetic.

The sofas, which already belonged to the couple, were arranged so that the room had good circulation. OR glass lock ensures contact with the outside.

All the joinery in the dining room was designed for hide two doorsone of them imitates the cellar and crockerywhile the other surrounds the entrance to the kitchen.

A practical solution for storing fruit has been created in the kitchen: under-cabinet fruit bowl with open drawers organize food and keep it fresh. To the yellow chairs make up the same color palette as the tiles.

The home office has detailed carpentry for added resident organization. The armchair can be used as a reading corner or decompression space in the environment.

In the bedroom of the couple, a leather panel was created to wrap the bed and the freijo bedside tables.

In the bathroom of the suite, the bidet has been maintained to bring a charm to the retro atmosphere. The box was handled with fluted glass and chrome frames for added privacy. The carpentry helps organize the bathing suits. In the social bathroom, however, the aesthetics were followed without the bidet.
