Preta Gil made the first post after a 14-hour operation to remove a tumor in her intestines. The singer said that she is recovering well, but that during the surgery it was necessary to perform a total abdominal hysterectomy, or the removal of the uterus.

“Hello my loves, I’m here to recover from a long and complex surgery that lasted more than 14 hours, in which the tumor was removed, as well as a total abdominal hysterectomy. I am well looked after by the doctors. Special thanks to the whole Dr. @fredericoteixeirajr team of warriors,” he wrote.

“Now it’s one day at a time!!! Today I was able to sit up and I’m still here fighting. God, it’s okay!!!” he added.

In the publication, the singer released an image in which she still appears using a probe in her nose. Lei Preta is being treated for bowel cancer diagnosed earlier this year. After finishing the radiotherapy sessions, she had the tumor removed in her rectum last week, at the Sírio-Libanês hospital. In the comments, celebrities such as Maisa, Juliana Paes, Ludmilla and Regina Casé have left their support for the artist.
