Marinated cherries in a jar: basic recipe

  • Package (250 gr) of cherry tomatoes
  • small red onion
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • Oil, vinegar, salt, mustard seeds

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, the garlic in slices, the cherry tomatoes in half rings. Put everything in a jar with a screw cap, prepare the marinade: 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, an incomplete teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of mustard seeds. Mix everything, pour the marinade into a jar, tighten the lid and shake well. Remove to refrigerator. The most impatient can eat in an hour, but canned tomatoes acquire a special spiciness after spending the night in the refrigerator.

Express cherry tomatoes: an alternative recipe

The recipe is good because you can easily add your favorite ingredients to the marinade. This marinade recipe has become very popular:

  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • a tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil

You can also replace red onions with onions, take yellow cherry tomatoes or plums, etc. The main thing is to focus on the ratio of proportions and, if the weight of the tomatoes changes, to recalculate the volume of the marinade.

In general, try cooking – you will definitely want to repeat!
