“Speaking of the dryer, what I see most are people just throwing the air without any direction. This can cause breakage, dryness and the emergence of frizz. Now with the dryer brush, the most common mistake is to use the accessory with still wet hair, which compromises the entire result and the health of the strands”, explains Thiago Martins, hair stylist partner of Vertix, a product company professional, such as electric brushes and combs, scissors and hair accessories.

By correcting a few handling and blow-drying issues, a protective barrier can be created that protects the hair cuticle and gives hair its best appearance. Discover the main advice of the hair stylist to obtain this result!

1. Always use the thermal protector

You can use the heat sources daily and still have some hair super healthy. Thiago explains that one of the main products to make this happen is the thermal protector. “Applying a heat protectant leave-in to the lengths and ends of your strands will protect them from any damage that heat can cause, while helping to hydrate and control frizz,” he explains.

2. Separate hair into sections

To make the process easier and get the same effect throughout your hair, dividing it into sections is the trick to optimal alignment. “First detangle normally, already separating the hair in the middle and then, with the help of a comb or brush, make four partings”, teaches the professional.

Again according to him “this can be done with the strands still damp, but never soaked, because drying them all at once and with lots of water can make the hair frizzy and, specifically, the dryer brush, if you use it when it is very wet , it can burn and break the threads”.

3. Invest in a good electrical product

This makes all the difference in the hair result. Whether for the dryer or dryer brushThiago Martins highlights what you need to take into account when buying these trams:

“Pay attention to the size and weight, so handling will always be comfortable. As far as power is concerned, it is worth analyzing if the dryer brush is higher than 1,000W and the dryer higher than 1,800W. Other characteristics to which pay attention are the temperature and speed, I find it essential that the equipment has cold, heat and heat options and more than one speed, as this will increase the functionality and versatility,” says the Vertix partner.

The hair dryer brush should be positioned at the root of the hair and then glided towards the ends of the strand.

4. Position the accessory correctly

When using the dryer it is important to remember that the tool must always be facing downwards, following the direction of the hair. “If you want the brushed effect, choose a brush suitable for length of your threads to be used simultaneously, pulling the strands from the root”, teaches the professional.

As for the brush for the hair dryer, Thiago explains that the accessory is positioned at the root of the hair and then slid towards the ends of the strand. “A valuable tip is to slide very slowly and decisively, but without pulling, this will get very smooth and shiny strands. Once all the strands are finished, pass the brush over all the hair again to uniform them”, he concludes.
