Milan Fashion Week, scheduled from 19 to 25 September, will see excellent debuts, such as the first Gucci fashion show under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, and that of Tom Ford, led by Peter Hawkings.

Swiss luxury brand Bally will also have its first fashion show held by Simone Bellotti. Created with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as the ICE, Agency for the promotion of Italy abroad, and the Municipality of Milan, the Milan Fashion Week includes a total of 176 events, of which 67 fashion shows, of which 62 live and 5 digital, 76 presentations and 33 events.

Among the previews also those of Avavav, Chiara Boni, Karoline Vitto of Dolce & Gabbana, Rave Review and The Attico.

«We can no longer find space for fashion shows, the density is crazy. We are talking with the other fashion weeks to have an extra day at the beginning of the week”, said the president of the Chamber of Italian Fashion, Carlo Capasa.

Traditionally, the first day of the week does not include fashion shows so as not to compete with London Fashion Week.

The week will also be marked by anniversaries: 70 years of Fratelli Rossetti, 40 of Moschino and 10 of Genny under the creative direction of Sara Cavazza Facchini.

One of the most anticipated is the event on September 20th, with the launch of the Moncler x Pharrell Williams collection. In addition to its importance for the sector, Milan Fashion Week is responsible for a substantial contribution to the city’s coffers, with a turnover of 80 million euros (R$426 million).
