In a few minutes the tuna cans are transformed into an unusual lamp, which promises to make every corner more welcoming and irreverent.
“When I saw this piece on a foreign blog, made up of cans of tuna, lit candles and a hanger, I immediately wanted to put the idea into practice. After all, every moment in the light of the warm and crackling flame is intimate and pleasant, right? But I confess that the first attempt didn’t work.

I followed the instructions to pierce the package, passing the sisal threads inside: you can imagine what happened when the fire was lit! The strings broke and the lamp fell to pieces. To avoid accidents, The secret is to wrap each package with thread. The other steps are simple: follow the sequence and create your own version.”
How to make a lamp with tuna cans
Materials
- seven cans of tuna
- sisal rope (8 m)
- album documents
- seven candles for the chafing dish
- seven wooden preachers
- clothes hangers
- hot glue gun
- pencil, ruler and scissors
Step by step
1. Using a pencil and ruler, draw 10 x 1.5 inch strips on the back of the scrapbook paper and cut them out. She looks for patterns that match each other: here, red and white appear in all prints.
two. Apply hot glue around the can. Attach one end of the band, cover the entire side of the package, and secure the other end.
3. Pass the sisal rope around the container, tie a bow and cut. A second piece of wire connects the can to the hanger beam: one end is tied to the ring, and the other is tied to the wood. The fun of the arrangement is in the different heights at which the pieces are hung.
4. A small amount of hot glue helps hold the bow, ensuring it stays put.
5. Glue pieces of patterned paper to the pegs. They do the finishing, hiding the sisal knots in the hanger. Add the candles and light them – the cute lamp is ready.
