Ana Carolina is the great champion of the tenth season of MasterChef. The final aired on Tuesday evening, 12/9, with the commercial broadcast live on Band in the presence of the public. “You have transformed my life, I am very grateful,” she said, quite emotional.
“I will study a lot, I want to become a great chef, carry out a social project, open my own restaurant,” she said in an interview with the Band’s Jornal da Noite.
“It’s an inexplicable feeling, but it was also the result of a lot of work. I have a gift, like many people, I also want to be a chef. The world is too small for me, there’s nothing stopping me anymore.”
In the first test the finalists were surprised by the presence of the family at the market. “It’s an incredible feeling, hugging my son, smelling him,” Ana said emotionally.
Ravi said he was very confident of his mother winning the program. Ana forgot two ingredients from the first recipe. She prepared the menu called “Que Nunca nos Falte” and to start with she prepared some rice cakes with pumpkin foam.
“It’s very well presented,” Jacquin said. “I found it very mild and it gives us a home cooking flavor. I don’t know if I would add fried cabbage,” Helena said.
“You delivered a perfect rice cake, dry, you can taste the richness of the cheese,” said chef Rodrigo Oliveira.
Ana’s main dish was the oxtail, she had forgotten 7 ingredients. She called this dish “Memories and affection” and chose it in honor of her parents. “A home-cooked meal, very tasty, will be fine,” she said as she prepared the menu.
“It’s delicious, it’s good, I would never risk queuing up for a vaccinara in an hour, so congratulations,” Jacquin said.
“I thought the pesto idea was really cool, it’s really tasty, really delicious,” Helena said.
“When you eat the pesto there, it makes perfect sense, it pairs very well with the taste of cassava, with a few more minutes of pressure, this dish would be perfect,” Rodrigo Oliveira said.
For dessert, Carol made lemongrass ice cream with cashew crumbs and grilled pineapple in butter.
“You stole my heart, it was an iconic and wonderful season,” said Ana Paula Padrão, very emotional.
Roots of what is broken
Pierper, entrepreneur and mother of Ravi, 6 years old, resident in Grajaú, in the south of São Paulo, joined the program with the aim of honoring the roots of the ‘quebrada’.
“I want to represent all mothers, who often don’t have opportunities. People who come from the bottom. I’m here to represent all of us who come from the neighborhood, who are mothers, women and who sometimes don’t have opportunities. My turn has come and I want may you never give up on your dreams,” he said.
Ana Carolina, 33 years old, returned to the qualifying repechage and took the last place in the edition. Her return was full of emotions and homemade seasoning with a delicious dish that won over the chefs.
“It’s a very big dream for me, I think I have potential,” he told Band.com.br at the time. “Maybe I haven’t had access to much, but I’m studying to be able to get there. I’m on a run that, due to lack of opportunity, I’ve never managed. But I have determination and I want to show that a person, even without access, can win.”
The cook added that she has a lot of determination and wants to demonstrate that a person, even without access, can win.
In addition to becoming season 10 champion, the amateur chef was the season’s biggest pin holder after winning five events.
Carol sees gastronomy as an opportunity to change her life, provide better conditions for her son, and empower other women.
“I want everyone to know that we can get where we want to go and that the first step is to try. I think my story can inspire. I had to learn to defend myself very early on, but that gave me the strength to be here,” she said.
Ana Paula Padrão asks if Jacquin took a shower
Ana Paula Padrão has already arrived to “cause” the final of Masterchef 10, this Tuesday 9/12. The program took place live with the audience present and Jacquin stopped to take selfies with fans.
The presenter then left the juror “on the ground” and went to listen to him last after having spoken beforehand with Helena Rizzo and Rodrigo Oliveira. “He arrived late, he will be last,” he joked.
Shortly thereafter, he announced the chef as “the most feared and hottest judge in Brazil” and asked questions about controversial issues regarding the chef’s alleged lack of hygiene. “You took a shower?” he asked.
“I don’t shower on Tuesdays,” he replied. Then Ana Paula wanted to know if you had at least brushed your teeth. “No, I ate gum, I chewed it,” she said.
“It smells fantastic,” commented the presenter.
