Thieves steal 50 Balmain items a few days before the fashion show

Less than ten days before the Paris Fashion Week show, thieves steal around 50 pieces from Balmain’s new collection! Understand:

A complicated start to the week for the brand Balmain and its creative director, Olivier Rousteing. Last Sunday, in an official statement released by the French brand on behalf of Rousteing, around 50 pieces of the collection that would have been part of the brand’s new collection, which will show at Paris Fashion Week in ten days, were stolen by thieves while the collection was transported by truck during the journey from Paris airport to the brand’s headquarters in the French capital.

Less than ten days before the Paris Fashion Week show, thieves steal around 50 pieces from Balmain’s new collection! Understand:

No identification of the criminals or recovery of parts, for now. The brand’s fashion show will apparently be held on September 27, with no information on how the event will take place. Faced with the situation, Olivier wrote on his social networks, where he was comforted by fans, friends and other designers like Donatella Versace:

“I woke up smiling this morning, starting rehearsals for my next show at 9 and this is what happened…

50 Balmain pieces stolen. Our delivery was rerouted. The truck was stolen. Thank God the driver is safe.

So many people worked so hard to make this collection. We are redoing everything, but this is really disrespectful.

Many workers, suppliers, me and my team.

Please be careful, this is the world we live in. I love you, my Balmain team, and we will not give up.

With love, OR”

“Today I went to the office at 9 am waiting for the last pieces for our show, the Balmain show in September. I was starting to create some looks with my team and our driver called us saying he had been kidnapped by a group of people. More than 50 Balmain pieces stolen. Was driving from the airport to Balmain headquarters. This is really unfair. My team and I work very hard. We will work harder, days and nights, our suppliers too, days and nights, but this is very disrespectful. I wanted to share this with you, to remind you not to take anything for granted and to stay safe. This is the world we live in.”
