The accident occurred Thursday night, in São José, in Greater Florianópolis; the artists were hospitalized
One couple of trapeze artists fell from a height of approximately 4 meters during a show in a circus in São José, in Greater Florianópolis, on the night of Thursday 28th. The artists were rescued on site and taken to hospital and are fine.
In a note, the Water circus she regretted what happened and underlined that she has all the licenses and authorizations to operate and that she has trained personnel to provide first aid.
The incident was recorded on video. The suspicion is that the trapeze artists’ support device broke, causing them to fall. Watch the video below!

1. The Circus is equipped with all licenses and authorizations to operate and has a technical team and trained personnel to provide first aid, who have years of experience in entertainment;
2. The artists have many years of experience in presenting this issue and are recognized for their talent, care and technical preparation;
3. Both artists were promptly assisted by the company’s team and public emergency services, as required by law, and were promptly taken to hospital, where they were treated as soon as they arrived and are doing well. One of them was even discharged a few hours after being admitted to hospital and is already in the hotel where they had been staying since they arrived to begin their presentations;
4. The Circus provides all assistance and maintains contact with the artists and their families, who are abroad;
5. The circus artistic performance, as demonstrated by the most distant historical evidence, involves dexterity and risk, which is why it is so beautiful and fascinating, and our company operates under rigorous maintenance and operational supervision;
6. We offer the public present an invitation to return for any other show and/or a refund of the ticket price
(the audience unanimously chose to return for the next shows and demonstrated affection and solidarity);
7. The entire Circus team regrets this fact and, as a united team with strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie that it enjoys, stands in solidarity with the couple and, in this spirit of collegiality and unity, stands by them and maintains frequent contact with them through social networks and visits;
8. We publicly thank all the demonstrations of affection, support and recognition received through the most diverse channels;
9. The shows will continue regularly and, as soon as the doctors give the green light, our dear and esteemed artists will shine on our stage with charm and joy.
