SBT presenter Eliana announced this Monday (10/2) that she has become an organ and tissue donor. The decision was influenced by the campaign of the family of Fausto Silva, former host of Globo and Band who recently underwent a heart transplant.
The presenter used her Instagram Stories to share the news and encourage other people to do the same. “Good afternoon! I stop to tell you that I am joining a chain of good and you too can do the same. A chain of good for organ donation”, began Eliana. She continued: “I am an organ and tissue donor because I believe that life goes on and the best way to continue is to give hope or a chance at life to those who need it. I want to be part of this chain of good.”

Furthermore, Eliana invited other celebrities, such as Chris Flores, Rogério Flausino and Leandro Hassum, to join the cause.
Luciana Cardoso, Faustão’s wife, thanked Eliana for her initiative and commitment to the cause. “Dear Eliana. Thank you for your words and for your commitment to this chain”, Luciana shared on her Instagram profile.
