Ingredients Pasta with Broccoli

– 2 cups farfalle (short pasta) (or whatever you prefer)

– Salt to taste

– 1/2 piece(s) large fresh broccoli, cut into florets

Sautéed Ingredients:

– 1/3 cup(s) of olive oil, or enough

– 1/4 unit of onion, large, chopped.

– 3 cloves of garlic, chopped

– Salt to taste

– pepper to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Place a pan with water on the heat to cook the broccoli and pasta.
  2. Set aside the other ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  3. Wash the broccoli under running water and divide them into florets: the size of the florets must be proportionate to the size of the pasta.
  4. Wash and peel the onion and garlic and chop them.

PREPARATION:

Pasta and Broccoli – Cooking:

  1. This recipe has a secret – the cooking times must be synchronized – that of the broccoli (about 10 minutes) and that of the pasta (time indicated on the package), since depending on the pasta you use it is important to know which goes into the pan first.
  2. To test this recipe, 7 minute farfalle cooking was used. This time is ideal for this recipe.
  3. When the water boils, add salt.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and cook them in boiling water for 2 minutes.
  5. Next, add the dough.
  6. Let both cook for another 6 minutes: the broccoli should be cooked and the pasta al dente.
  7. Drain and drain, reserving some of the cooking water.

Braised:

  1. In a deep skillet, large enough to hold the pasta and broccoli, sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil until it begins to change color.
  2. Add the cooked and drained pasta and broccoli and mix well.
  3. Add a little cooking water to make the dough more moist.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
