The video posted on TikTok went viral; Internet users told similar stories
A woman found out through Google that her boyfriend was going to marry another woman. The case was revealed by Ellen Smith, on TikTok, and went viral.
In the video, which has reached almost half a million views, Ellen explains how a simple Google search turned out to be a disappointment.
“If you’re having a bad day, remember that you may have accidentally Googled the wedding website of the man you’ve been seeing for six weeks,” she said. “So it could always be worse for you…not for me,” she joked.
The situation, however, is not that unusual. In the comments, other users have reported similar experiences.
“How about finding the wedding website of the man you’ve been dating for six YEARS?”, “I was talking to a guy who told me he was coming home for a wedding… it was his wedding,” and “I found the site advert for its commitment in the newspaper after our first meeting” are some of the comments left in the publication.
