Called Oceano Deca, the project by Eduardo Franco Correa, of EFC Arquitetura, is part of CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2023
Project by architect Eduardo Franco Correa, from EFC architecturefor CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2023, the Deca Ocean was born as an area of relaxation and introspection for collective use in a residence. To create this “way of home”, the office used natural materials, such as wooden floorwhich brings a dark appearance to the environment and comfort to the touch, as well as pebbles that reinforce the organic character of space and completes the environment surrounding the box.
Referring to the element “water”, the blue color appears in walls and ceiling and the curves of the joinery reinforce the sensation of fluidity in the space.
A bathtub has been installed next to the window which receives light filtered by the muxarabi. In the centre, two Dobra sofas, by Studio Guilherme Wentztake the lead in the decor, which also includes pieces of Rain study AND Manus Studio.
At the request of the architect, the artist Maysa Pettes from the Atelier Arter he also created two canvases measuring 1.80 x 1.80 m using fragments of old tiles from the original environment collected in the work and glued onto paint.
