CASACOR Sergipe 2023 project, Estar Mar was created by architect Kika Mattos in honor of her father
” Estar Mar It is an environment in honor of my father. Last year he went sailing in other seas. I really believe in art as care and this environment mixes art, architecture, furniture and, above all, affection. Affective decoration is something that I bring to all my projects”, explains the architect Kika Mattos about your project for CASACOR Sergipe 2023.
The environment brings blue, which represents the sea and sky, and brown, which refers to roots, security and personality. “The sculpture made with sailor’s knots is reminiscent of sargassum, seaweed, ocean foam or a fishing net, bringing an art installation into the space,” says the professional.
The mix of colors and textures together with the architect’s personal collection creates a welcoming, intimate and unique space. “It’s a sanctuary, a place to recharge your energy,” he explains. In the furniture, lamp Jader AlmeidaMaralunga armchair by Cassina and rattan furniture from Biasa. Among the works of art, pieces of Bel Borba, Maria Gabrielle, Aldemir Martins, Jenner Augusto and Silvio Pinto.
