Naked churro cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • 4 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup milk (tea)
  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of chemical yeast
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
  • Powdered sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling

Filling and covering

  • 3 cups creamy dulce de leche
  • 1/2 cup cream (tea).

Preparation method:

  1. In a mixer, beat the egg yolks, margarine, sugar and essence until a whitish cream forms.
  2. Add the milk, flour and cinnamon alternately, whisking continuously, until a smooth mixture forms.
  3. Add the whipped egg whites, the yeast and then mix with a spoon.
  4. Transfer to a buttered and floured 20cm diameter cake tin.
  5. Bake in a preheated medium oven (180°C) for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool, turn out and cut the dough into three parts, horizontally.
  7. Meanwhile, for the filling, mix the dulce de leche and cream
  8. Place it in a piping bag fitted with a nozzle.
  9. Place the pastry base on a baking tray and cover with 1/3 of the filling using the piping bag.
  10. Place another dough on top and cover with another 1/3 of the filling
  11. Finish with the remaining dough and decorate the surface with the remaining filling.
  12. Sprinkle with sifted sugar and cinnamon and serve immediately.
