In the caption, Regi wrote: “I just have to thank God, my warrior and all the physiotherapists who accompany me in this battle.”
At the end of October, Regi checked herself into Rede Sarah, which specializes in rehabilitation, in Salvador, Bahia. His wife is the one who accompanies him during his treatment in the capital of Bahia.
Remember the case
Regi was hit by a gym machine in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, on 4 August. Shortly after the accident, he underwent surgery that lasted more than 4 hours to realign his spine.
At the time, doctors at Santo Antônio Hospital reported that the chance of Regilânio walking again was less than 1%. He suffered a serious spinal cord injury after the car, weighing approximately 150 kg, fell on him.
Regi’s evolution was shared by him and his family on the Todos pelo Regis profile on Instagram. Before the video took its first steps, Regi showed, on November 22, his efforts to crawl for the first time, with great difficulty.
