GKay wears looks made from marine debris on Day 2 of Farofa

GKay’s Farofa ends this Wednesday (6th) and the hostess has perfected the party look, changing it up a few times throughout the event. The second day (5), was no different and once again I was surprised by the look. One of these comes from Dutch designer Iris van Herpen’s 2021 couture collection, made from debris removed from the seabed.

And just like on the first day, the influencer changed her clothes and, in the middle of the party, wore a catwalk look. SPFW. On Monday she wore pieces by Bold Strap, worn by Camila Queiroz. This time she made use of the production of the Artemisi brand, which has already dressed celebrities such as Demi Lovato. She looks at the details of the looks.

All right

Just like last year, GKay invested in haute couture looks for Farofa, in celebration of her 31st birthday. This time it was the dress presented in July 2021, during the Haute Couture Week in Paris, by Iris van Herpen. Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen has collaborated with Parley for the Oceans (a global environmental organization that brings together creators, thinkers and leaders with the aim of raising awareness about the beauty and fragility of the oceans and collaborating on projects that can end the their destruction), creating five dresses made entirely from recycled marine debris.

The dress worn by GKay is made with hand-cut spheres dyed in shades ranging from aqua blue to white. The spheres made from pollution and plastic removed from the sea are hand stitched in layers to overlap and float on multiple levels.

Look shown at SPFW and GKay in his Farofa

The Artemisi show, by Espírito Santo designer Mayari Jubini, ranged from 3D printed pieces with different shapes, textures and transparencies, as well as 3D printing fused to fabric, including embroidery, hand painting and prints, three-dimensionality created with modeling and pieces entirely assembled by hand, like this black top, worn with a short skirt and tulle with dangling crystal pendants.
