The ancient and eternally young Tbilisi remains a magnet for travelers at any time of the year. People come here to have fun with friends, enjoy a romantic vacation for two or stock up on impressions alone – all options are good. The city carefully preserves its traditions and character, but still knows how to change, so you can come here several times and always count on discoveries.
Did you know that the place where Vakhtang Gorgasali founded the city in the 5th century BC is called the Tbilisi Basin? Modern Tbilisi stretches along the Kura River for almost 30 km and stretches along the slopes of the neighboring mountains, so any more or less long walk here provides travelers with tangible physical exercise.
However, we quickly forget fatigue, distracted by the magnificent views. Just as natural landscapes replace each other (there are not many capitals in the world where we see mountains, rocky cliffs and a real waterfall right in the middle of the city!), so does each district of Tbilisi has its own “face” – completely unique. Get lost in the narrow streets of Sololaki, looking at the picturesque ancient facades, admire the open spaces of Vake, immerse yourself in the ambiance of Chugureti, be determined and climb to the observation deck of Mtatsminda – d Pleasant surprises await you everywhere.
