“I have too much space in my closet”, perhaps no woman in the world has ever said such a phrase.
Of course, we’d all like to have a wardrobe that has an invisible expanding spell cast on it, like magizoologist Newt Scamander’s magnificent suitcase. Alas, magic doesn’t work outside of Hogwarts, so let’s see what methods exist to maximize closet space.
Replace hangers
Yes, sometimes it’s that simple! Sometimes very small nuances are important in organizing your wardrobe without throwing away. As sisters and space organizers Briana and Erica Spruill explain, there’s no need to hang a thin silk blouse on a thick wooden hanger. “Thin hangers covered in rubber or velvet can double the space in your closet while keeping your clothes organized. Also use hanger hooks: these simple hanging systems for clothes and accessories not only allow you to put twice as many things in one place, but also help you sort them,” the sisters explain.
