I wait Christmas Prayers and pray during dinner, Christmas morning or whenever you prefer:
Christmas Prayer
“Lord, on this holy occasion of prayer, music and laughter, we praise you for the wonders you have sent us: for the bright star, for the angelic songs, for the tears of children coming out of the humble manger. We praise you for the word made flesh and we watch the glory of this child bathed in his own splendor. Be with us as we sing of the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible understood, the poetry made of the harsh reality, of the defenseless child and the difficulties of the world today. We kneel before the shepherds, the innkeepers and the wise. Help us to progress more and more. Amen.”
Supplication for Christmas Eve
“God of love, father of all, the darkness that covered the earth gave way to the dawn and the Word became flesh. Show us the light, we need to believe in your Word, which brings life to this hopeless world . By Christ, our lord. Amen.”
Prayer for Christmas
“Father, we have been enlightened by the coming among us of your speech. May the light of faith shine in our words and actions. Grant us this grace through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and with the Holy Spirit , one God, now and forever. Amen.”
Praise be to God and Christ
“Lord God, we praise you for the creation of man and we praise you even more for the coming of Christ to save us. Your Son shared our weakness and now we can share the glory he has won. Through Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and with the holy spirit forever and ever. Amen.”
Special Request
“O sweet child of Bethlehem, allow us to share our hearts in this profound mystery of Christmas. Place in the hearts of men and women that peace that they seek, sometimes so desperately, and that only you can give them. Help them to know us better and live as brothers and sisters, children of the same father. Reveal also your beauty, holiness and purity. Awaken in their hearts love and gratitude for his infinite goodness. Gather everyone in your love and give us your heavenly peace. Amen.”
Prayer for the Christmas season
«O Jesus, born in Bethlehem, you wanted to appear in this world stripped of your divinity and of all human greatness. You did not allow the splendors of divinity to shine in your humanity as on Mount Tabor, but in everything you were equal to us, “if not in sin. We saw you subjected to the limits of suffering of human nature. You wanted to need maternal care , like every child, and participate in the condition of the poor, being born in a cave. You wanted to be persecuted by the powerful Herod and you live in exile in Egypt. You submitted to everything to get closer to us, to be one of us and teach us the way towards the Father. Grant us to follow in your footsteps. Grant that we too know how to approach everyone, especially the poor, the humble and the children, with our words and our examples. O Jesus, grant that we can never be an occasion of scandal for the humble and the little ones, because theirs is the Kingdom of heaven”.
Christmas Christmas!
“Rejoice in God who saves us; with your songs welcome the Lord, the living God. He is indeed the master, the fearsome, the most high, the mighty, the king of the universe. He is our most holy father, our king: before the creation of the world, he sent from heaven his beloved son, Jesus, born of the virgin Mary. He addresses God with the words: ‘You are my father’. And God says: ‘I will put my firstborn above all the kings of the earth!”. On that day the Lord sent grace upon him, and the night resounded with his praise. This is the day that the Lord has made, a day of victory and joy. A child is given to us: he was born to us as a pilgrim along the road; without finding refuge in any room, he is born in a manger. Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth to the men he loves! Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth rejoice. let the sea and everything rejoice, let him who inhabits it rejoice; let the plains flourish and the forests sing! Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Because the Lord is great and worthy of praise, before him all. idols disappear. Pagan peoples, confess the Lord, give him honor and praise, recognize the glory of his name. Give yourselves, take up your cross too; Obey his commandments to the end.”
