The researchers evaluated the different types of crying of 38 newborns
A recent study promises to help adults care for children more precisely and carefully. Researchers from the Clinical Hospital of Barcelona, in collaboration with L’Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), studied the reason for each type of baby crying.
According to information on the Infobae website, Clínic-IDIBAPS, in collaboration with the Swiss-Catalan startup Zoundream AG, carried out the study with the aim of helping parents and guardians to better understand their children, highlighting that the lack of understanding of crying can lead to frustration.
This situation, according to the study, can cause “feelings of anxiety, depression, helplessness, anger and frustration”, damaging the emotional bond with the child.
Published in Elsevier, the study analyzed the crying of 38 newborns, revealing that, on average, a baby cries for one to three hours a day.
