Interval: 00:25
TOOLS
1 cutting board(s), 1 kettle, 1 grater, 1 baking tray(s) (or more), 1 spatula(s), 1 serving plate(s), 1 bowl(s) (optional)
EQUIPMENT
conventional + processor
METERS
cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml
Ingredients CHEESE BREAD 2 INGREDIENTS:
– 2 cups of sweet cassava starch
– 1 cup(s) boiling water + a little more boiling water if necessary
– 200 g of standard Minas cheese, grated or processed
– Salt to taste
Finishing ingredients
– grated parmesan (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Put a kettle of water on to boil.
- Separate the recipe ingredients and utensils. The yield is 9 units for 2 portions.
- Grate standard Minas cheese on the coarse side or use food processor.
- Grate the finely grained parmesan, if you didn’t buy it grated, and place it in a bowl (it will be used for finishing, but it’s optional).
- Grease the baking tray(s) with oil.
PREPARATION:
Cheese bread 2 ingredients:
- This recipe is easier to make with the food processor because the consistency obtained is creamier.
- In a bowl or food processor, place the tapioca starch and salt.
- Add boiling water (see quantity in ingredients), stir or whisk to combine.
- Add the shredded/processed standard Minas cheese and continue to mix or beat until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- The dough should have the consistency of ricotta: creamy, but still firm. If you do it by hand, it’s easier to mix with a spatula.
- If necessary, add a little more boiling water (this will depend on the cheese you used, as they vary in terms of moisture).
- Place on a plate and cover with cling film where it touches.
- Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Cheese bread 2 ingredients – form the sandwiches:
- With the measurement of 1 tablespoon, take a portion of dough and form a ball.
- Spread with grated parmesan (optional).
- Place the ball on the greased baking tray(s), leaving space between them, to give room for growth in the oven.
- Continue forming balls until the dough runs out, placing them on the baking tray(s).
Cheese bread 2 ingredients – freeze:
- They can also be frozen for later consumption.
- To do this, make the balls and place them on a tray covered with cling film or butter paper, without overlapping them, and place them in the freezer until they are completely frozen.
- Transfer to a lidded jar or plastic bag and store in the freezer until ready to use.
2 ingredient cheese bread – Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Bake the cheese bread for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bread rises and the Parmesan (optional) is lightly browned. This time is longer (consider 5 to 10 minutes more) if you bake frozen bread.
- Turn off the oven and remove the tray(s).
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Serve the 2-ingredient cheese bread hot.
- If there is anything left over after cooking, you can reheat it in a preheated oven at 180°C or freeze it.
