The “Legally Blonde” star made a recipe with snow accumulated in her car; the substance may contain impurities and pathogens, medical alert
“Legally Blonde” star Reese Witherspoon surprised her followers this week by joining the trend of desserts made with the snow that accumulates in homes and vehicles during the North American winter.
The actress shared on her Tiktok profile the moment she uses the snow accumulated in her car to create an iced coffee drink with chocolate and caramel sauce.
“We’ve had tons of snow the last few days. So we decided to make a recipe. We started by scraping the snow into our cups and then added salted caramel sauce and a little chocolate syrup,” says the artist.

The practice, however, has attracted the attention of Witherspoon’s followers and is contraindicated by experts. Endocrinologist and nutritionist Rodrigo Neves points out that snow can contain impurities and pathogens, organisms capable of causing diseases.
Additionally, the energy required to melt it within the body can also lead to exhaustion and hypothermia (when the body loses more heat than it can produce).
After the negative repercussions of the “recipe”, the actress published a video in which she showed a glass of water claiming that the snow had melted and was clean. However, according to scientists, color and odor alone are not enough to analyze the purity of water.
“We’re in the ‘you only live once’ category and it only snows about once a year. Also I would like to say one thing: ‘it was delicious,'” the actress commented in the video.
