What is the best pot for planting daisies?

“To plant daisies you will need a pot with drainage holes, substrate rich in organic substancedaisy plants or seeds and a sunny place,” says Renata.




How to plant daisies

  1. Place the substrate in the pot, leaving about 2cm of space at the edge.
  2. Make a hole in the center and place the daisy plant or seed, covering with more substrate.
  3. Water well and keep the pot in a location that receives at least 6 hours of sun per day.

How to water daisies

The landscape designer explains that to make daisies happy, you must water them regularly, keeping the soil moist but not soggy. “The frequency of watering will depend on the climate and season, but good advice is to observe the surface of the soil and water when it is dry,” he comments.

How to fertilize daisies

You will need to fertilize your daisies every two months“using an organic or mineral fertilizer, following the instructions on the package”, explains Renata.

Pruning daisies

“Pruning daisies is optional, but it can help stimulate growth and flowering. You can prune dry or wilted leaves and flowers, using clean, sharp scissors,” reports Renata.

Giant daisy (Leucanthemum maximus).


Yellow daisy (Euryops pectinatus).


Cape Daisy (Osteospermum).

There are many types of daisies, the most popular are Cape Daisy (Osteospermum), which has colorful flowers that open during the day and close at night. Other popular varieties are Yellow daisy (Euryops pectinatus)which has yellow flowers and gray leaves, the giant daisy (Leucanthemum maximus)which has large white flowers, and the Daisy of Paris (Chrysanthemum frutescens)which has small white flowers.
