There is nothing better than satisfying your craving for pizza in an all-you-can-eat restaurant specializing in this delicacy. The problem is that the restaurant budget doesn’t always fit into our pockets and sometimes we end up wishing for it.




Thinking of bringing this gastronomic experience to your home, Guia da Cozinha has put together a delicious recipe for banana pizza with dulce de leche. The dessert is the same as that served in restaurants and is still very juicy if accompanied by a scoop of ice cream. Do it at home!

Banana pizza recipe with dulce de leche

Time: 40 minutes (+50 minutes rest)

Performance: 3 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast (10g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup (tea) warm water
  • Oil and wheat flour for greasing
  • 1 can of whey-free cream
  • 4 small bananas, cut diagonally
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy dulce de leche
  • Cream ice cream to accompany

Preparation method:

  1. Mix the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, egg and yolk and gradually add the water.
  2. Knead for 10 minutes until it sticks to your hands, add more flour if necessary.
  3. Form a ball, place it in a bowl covered with a cloth and let it rest for 50 minutes or until it has doubled in volume.
  4. On a smooth, floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it forms a 30cm diameter disc, leaving the edge thicker than the centre.
  5. Transfer the dough into a floured pan of the same diameter.
  6. Prick the dough with a fork and bake in a high, preheated oven for 12 minutes or until firm.
  7. Remove from the oven and spread the cream on the dough.
  8. Spread the banana over the cream, cover with the dulce de leche and return to the preheated medium oven for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove and serve with ice cream.
