From the balcony to the living room: 7 residential projects with hot tubs


Previously reserved for hotels, hydromassage makes its appearance in residential projects in places of relaxation, decompression and leisure.

You spaces for relaxation and decompression they have become more common since the pandemic. Wellbeing, both physical and emotional, has gained attention and space in homes. And when we think about relaxation, hydromassage it’s the pinnacle.

Initially reserved for resorts, the object began to appear in residential projects in different ways: from the traditional one, in the bathroom, to the one integrated into the social area. Check out the projects below:

1. The classic one, in the bathroom




In this project signed by Paula Müller, the atmosphere is welcoming and contemporary. In the social area, wooden panels are the protagonists, but the bathroom takes on a cleaner aesthetic, with light coverings, a carved tub and a large hydromassage tub.

2. Integrated into the living room

The strong point of this project Letícia de Nóbrega It is the hydromassage integrated into the living room. Previously she was isolated on the balcony, in an open space. The renovation created a transparent roof and eliminated the sliding door that separated the rooms. Therefore, hydro has become part of the social area.

3. In the zen space

The residents of this apartment wanted to zen space at home, then the architect Fernanda Medeiros created this space in the doors with hydromassage. A cobogós wall separates the living room from the relaxation area, ensuring privacy for both environments.

4. Next to the gourmet area

In this 85 m² penthouse, the A+G Architecture Office created an outdoor gourmet area integrated with the kitchen. A super hydromassage surrounded by plants has been installed there, creating a mini oasis.

5. In the SPA at the country house

The architect Mario Santos has created a complete spa in this 500 m² country house. Located underground, the space features, in addition to the hydromassage, a dry sauna.

6. Vertical garden combo



To complete the furnishing of the work, some plants were inserted in the lower part to decorate the vertical garden next to the hydromassage tub.  Therefore, the trolley helps to enhance the atmosphere of relaxation and relaxation in the space, providing another entertainment option on days off, weekends and holidays.

The architect Patrizia Penna used the combo: vertical garden + whirlpool + bar trolley to create a perfect environment for relaxation and enjoyment, perfect for days off, holidays and weekends.

7. On the balcony to socialize

For the design of your apartment, the architect João Fernandes, of the studio GROUP of Architects and Urban Planners, felt it was important to include a generous recreational area. With a relaxed and cheerful decor, the project is perfect for welcoming friends and organizing parties. The hot tub on the wooden terrace can accommodate three people.
